TechnoZone 2015

Fort Cobb, OK – October 21, 2015 –TechnoZone is a one-day event where sophomores in the district explore opportunities at CKTC by visiting program areas and participating in hands-on activities.

Over 300 sophmores visited CKTC to explore the opportunities availale to them.  They will now have the opportunity to come back for a more in-depth visit in their program choice. Parents are also encouraged to schedule visits to the campus so they can learn more about the options available to their child.

Currently CKTC has about 216 high school students enrolled. Many of the high school students attending CKTC plan on going to college after high school; and they will use their training to pursue an advanced degree in their chosen field or to make better money while they are in college.

“Something new we implemented last year is we now also accept sophomores with partner school approval. This is something unprecedented across the state, except in Pre-Engineering Academies,” reported Assistant Superintendent Vic Woods. “This gives those students an extra year of tuition-free education and potential for advanced training.”

Online classes and virtual classes are also increasing opportunities for many of the high school students.
